Cheating the mind

给你两杯葡萄酒,一杯标价$5, 一杯标价$50, 你会觉得哪杯味道更好呢? 多数人会认为贵的那杯好,即使实际上两杯酒没什么区别。fMRI的广泛应用大大促进了行为的研究,最近的一项研究发现人对葡萄酒的味觉体验会受到价格标签的左右。可见我们的大脑对外界的反应是多么的难以客观,和被歪曲。As Daniel Levitin cited his teacher’s saying in "This is your brain in music", "My teacher Roger Shepard, a perception psychologist at Stanford University, used to say that when functioning properly, our perceptual system is supposed to distort the senses." 也就容易理解为什么谎话说了一千遍就成了真理;为什么我们都喜欢听恭维话;和在信仰上的坚定,信则灵,不信则不灵。。。这实在跟用大麻可卡因没什么区别,本质上都是激活更多的兴奋受体,享受更多的快感。可塑性这个概念用在大脑上,突触上是多么的准确呀,可以说生命的意义就是生物体与环境的互动,你改变我,我改变你。从这个意义上看,我们跟石头就没什么不同了,即使我们有基因,可以移动,可以思考,石头可能以不同的形式思考着人类呢!
