The past and future

There is a new research with fMRI showing we use the same brain area for imagination and memory… The important thing might be the CPU, organizing center.

  1. you mean the difference lies in the CPU, which organizes for a person what he/she memorizes and imagines?

Yes, such as hippocampus is an important brain structure for these functions, it may retrieve different information from other parts of brain such as visual, sound, taste, smell…and build up different stories, could be imagination or memory, the difference might be delicate controlled by some interesting key cells.
